  • What is soft play?
    Soft play refers to a specifically-designed play area where almost all surfaces and equipment are covered in thick padding. This gives children a soft environment where they are safe to act in ways they otherwise might not be able to. Soft play equipment can include things such as ball pits, padded slides, jungle gyms and various ramps, stairs and climbing frames.
  • What are the benefits of soft play?
    Exploration Exploring on their own through the soft play environment gives children feelings of autonomy, freedom and a level of control they may not have experienced before. Decision making Soft play areas often provide opportunities for young children to make their own decisions about which direction to go in (left or right, up or down). Having autonomy over their own actions within a safe environment is beneficial for children’s self-esteem and sense of responsibility. It can also help children feel in control more than they may in their day-to-day lives where they often need to do what others tell them to. Spatial awareness Moving around soft play equipment - up ramps, down slides, around corners, through tunnels - all helps children become more aware of their immediate surroundings and how to move safely through them. This is called spatial awareness and is an important skill for young children to develop. Sensory stimulation Sensory stimulation includes any play items that engage the five senses. Soft play usually engages three of these - sight, sound and touch.
  • What age is soft play good for?
    Our soft play equipment is best for children under the age of 5.
  • How do I book?
    Submit an event inquiry here. We will reach out within 48 hours to confirm availability. If the selected package is available, you will be emailed an invoice for the $100 deposit and liability waiver to complete. All invoices expire in 48 hours! Event date is not secured until security deposit and waiver has been received.
  • Why do I need to pay a security deposit?
    When you book an event with Groovy Jungle, that soft play package is made unavailable for others to book. We are reserving our services specifically for you! Deposits are only refundable after your event if equipment is returned in satisfactory condition. Deposit refunds will be initiated within two business days after your event. It may take up to 14 days to reflect back in your account. Deposits are NOT refundable due to cancellations for any reason (including weather). Deposits can be transferred once to another date within one year.
  • What is your weather policy?
    "The Client must provide a backup indoor location for outdoor events in the event of unforeseen changes in weather. Groovy Jungle reserves the right to cancel the event or end the rental term at any given time due to weather conditions. In the event of cancellation due to weather, The Client will be will be given the option to reschedule within a twelve (12) month period. No deposit refunds will be granted due to cancellation due to weather. It is the responsibility of The Client to secure an indoor backup location. Outdoor events may be canceled due to weather based on Groovy Jungle‘s discretion if The Client is unable to provide a backup indoor location. Groovy Jungle will not set up in the rain or any chance of rainfall. No exceptions. Proper shading, such as a canopy or pavilion, must be set up during summer months if the event is outdoors. The equipment gets extremely hot in direct sunlight which will prevent use of the play area."
  • Why do I need an indoor back up location for my outdoor event?
    Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. Since soft play absorbs moisture, rainy conditions can damage our equipment and cause mold to grow. Additionally, soft play can become slippery when wet posing a risk to your guest.
  • What time do you set up?
    Our delivery schedule is route based! You will receive an email the week prior to your event that informs you of the scheduled drop off time. We take in to consideration, the event's location and event time when making the delivery schedule.
  • Do you charge a delivery and set up fee?
    Set up is included in the cost of your service. The first 15 miles are included for delivery is also included. If your event is within 15 miles of Warren (48091) then delivery is included. Additional mileage will be calculated on the invoice at a rate of $2 per mile.
